How will Sense use my gift?

Sense will act
Time is crucial in the development of children. Our outreach service is able to assess in tiny detail the extent of a child’s deafblindness so that every little opportunity to learn is spotted. Sense uses the expertise, developed over many years, and practical techniques to help deafblind people communicate and connect with the world around them, and with the people they love.

Sense will enrich
Every year Sense takes around 120 deafblind children and adults on holiday. Accompanied by volunteers, the holidaymakers gain new experiences of the world as well as giving the often exhausted families a much needed break.

Sense will speak out
As well as changing lives in a practical way, Sense actively campaigns for the rights of deafblind people and their families. Over the years Sense has achieved major successes in changing how society views deafblindness. Our current 'Fill in the Gaps' campaign highlights the fact that many older people losing their sight and hearing are not offered the specialist help they need.

Sense will be accountable
Sense will make sure your gift is used for the purpose for which it was given. Each year Sense invites supporters who have made the decision to leave a gift in their will to see our work for themselves and to meet deafblind people and the special staff who create communities at our centres.

Take the next step to leaving Sense a gift in your will.
