Standards for Services for Adults who are Deafblind or have a Dual Sensory Impairment

Code: RT11

This core of common standards have been produced in an aim to iron out inconsistencies in services for deafblind people and encourage development of high quality provision and are primarily for use by social care professionals but also for families and service users.

The Standards are set out in clear, measurable terms and are based on four distinct core principles stating services should be person, lifestyle, access and specialist oriented and will apply to the provision of services for deafblind people and those with a dual sensory impairment across the country.
