A group of 20 walkers from all over the UK took part in the annual Jurassic Coast Walk on 10 and 11 October, to raise much needed funds for Sense and its work with deafblind children and adults.
The 32 mile walk from Exmouth to Seaton, over two days, saw walkers tackle blisters and steep cliffs. All twenty finished in good time to sample home-made cakes and tea though - supplied by residents and staff at Sense’s residential home in Seaton, Devon. This is where the walk reached its end on Sunday afternoon.
Shad Everett, Community Fundraising Manager for Sense (west) said, "This is the second time we have put on this event and it was a great success this year. Everyone had a great time, we tackled some of the UK’s most fantastic coastlines, and we're hoping to have raised about £6,000 in the process."
