Sense awarded a BBC Children in Need grant

Sense has been awarded a second three-year grant from BBC Children in Need, to fund Sense services in Wales.

The grant of £112,425 - the highest made to any organisation in Wales - means that Sense is able to work with around 80 deafblind children and their families across Wales.

Megan Bailey, a deafblind girl aged 7, from Rhyl, has been chosen to appear in the BBC Children in Need television appeal across Wales.

According to Joan Graham, Sense Cymru Deafblind and Multi-Sensory Impairment Consultant:

"We're sincerely grateful to BBC Children in Need for their generosity. We work very hard to provide support to deafblind children and their families across the country. To be awarded a second grant is rare, and this shows faith in our collective work at Sense over the past few years. This grant means that we can continue to make a difference and expand our work."
