Visit your GP and support a Sense campaign

The Sense 'It All Adds Up' pack explains to primary healthcare staff how to identify if a patient has problems with both sight and hearing and how to make sure they get the right support.

The challenge for Sense is how to get the packs to the primary healthcare staff, and we have found that the best way is for someone local to the practice to take a copy in.

Over 600 Sense supporters have been mailed a copy of the It All Adds Up pack for primary care staff with a request that they take it into their local GP practice. But, we want to spread the message even further.

The idea is simple – next time you have an appointment, or are just passing a surgery, drop in a copy and explain why it is important. This simple action could lead to a deafblind older person getting a proper assessment and support that will improve their life.

If you would like to help the ‘It All Adds Up’ campaign by taking a copy of the pack to your own GP and local surgeries, you can find out more about the campaign or email the Campaigns Team: campaign.info@sense.org.uk.
