Pop legend Paul Young backs Vision 5K event

Paul YoungFresh from the Here and Now Tour, pop legend Paul Young will be firing the starting pistol at Sense’s brand new Vision 5K in Birmingham on 18 May at 11am at the city’s Cannon Hill Park.

Sense is encouraging both disabled and able-bodied runners to take part in the fun run and families are also very welcome. If sighted runners would like to take on a bit of an extra challenge, Sense is asking them to complete the course blindfolded whilst tethered to a sighted partner. Several deafblind people are also taking part in the fun on the day.

In the Midlands there are around 4,000 people who have a serious impairment of both vision and hearing. Sense has a large presence in the region with both the Garden Room and a wide range of living options for deafblind people.
