The Holidays Team at Sense is looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteers who can give up a week to help deafblind children and young adults have a holiday to remember this summer.
We URGENTLY need male volunteers, can you help?
Come and join us and you may find yourself sailing the high seas, camping at a music festival, kayaking, abseiling, enjoying a drink at the pub, on the beach, or exploring the countryside. The possibilities are endless!

My holiday with a deafblind person was an extraordinary experience. When I volunteered I was a little apprehensive since it was a step into the unknown. But the holiday leaders were very supportive and the week I spent with my deafblind person was truly inspiring. And fun! ... I began to see the world differently. I will definitely volunteer again.
If you have the stamina, then we have the holiday for you! We are looking for people to help to give deafblind holidaymakers a fun-filled holiday. In return for your time you can expect to meet new people, have fun (even while working hard) and have a unique holiday!
To join us you don’t need to have done anything similar before and we fully prepare every volunteer.
If you:
- are open-minded
- able to work well in a team
- and, can offer a week of your time in summer 2009 then we want you!
Male volunteers with sign language skills or who are willing to drive a minibus will be especially welcome.
Sense will pay for all accommodation, food and the cost of activities whilst on the holiday.
