Take part in a survey on accessing your local GP
Action for Blind People is working in partnership with the GP Access and Support Programme (Department of Health) to identify the challenges and issues that sight-impaired people face when accessing their GP practice, and how practices respond to their needs.
There is a questionnaire (word, 900kb) you can complete. It will help you to tell us about your positive and negative experiences of accessing your local GP practice. From how they respond to your needs when requiring an appointment, to actually sitting in front of a health care professional.
The project’s aim is to highlight the barriers faced by sight-impaired people when accessing GP practices and identify practical steps they could implement to improve access to health care.
Any queries please contact Heather Billington at heather.billington@actionforblindpeople.org.uk or telephone 0151 677 2163.
The closing date for completing the questionnaire is 30 June 2009. The questionnaire has the old closing date of 25 May, please ignore it.
