Grant Thornton climbs three mountains in 24 hours for Sense

Members of the Grant Thornton teamA team from the Leeds office of financial services firm Grant Thornton celebrated last week having successfully climbed the National Three Peaks for Sense.

The 18-strong group overcame tiredness and aching limbs to complete the challenge in 24 hours, and raised more than £9,000.

They climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, the Lake District’s Scafell Pike and Snowdon in Wales.

Tim Lincoln of Grant Thornton said the three climbs were hard-going, but well worth the effort in the end:

“We’re feeling a bit weary but exhilarated and proud to have raised a significant amount of money for a wonderful charity.”

Marianne Beggs, National Events Manager for Sense said:

“We are so proud of what the Grant Thornton trekkers have achieved, from both a challenge and fundraising point of view. They approached the event with such enthusiasm and we are so grateful for their support”.
