A team from the Leeds office of financial services firm Grant Thornton celebrated last week having successfully climbed the National Three Peaks for Sense.
The 18-strong group overcame tiredness and aching limbs to complete the challenge in 24 hours, and raised more than £9,000.
They climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland, the Lake District’s Scafell Pike and Snowdon in Wales.
Tim Lincoln of Grant Thornton said the three climbs were hard-going, but well worth the effort in the end:
“We’re feeling a bit weary but exhilarated and proud to have raised a significant amount of money for a wonderful charity.”
Marianne Beggs, National Events Manager for Sense said:
“We are so proud of what the Grant Thornton trekkers have achieved, from both a challenge and fundraising point of view. They approached the event with such enthusiasm and we are so grateful for their support”.
