We all have our favourite holiday memories of relaxed and happy times away from home. For deafblind children like Adam, going on a Sense holiday means so much – it’s the chance to discover and enjoy the world around him.
This year’s Holiday Appeal in PDF format (755kb) or accessible format (4kb) tells the story of Adam’s journey of discovery on his very first Sense holiday and how he got the opportunity to experience new and life-changing activities.
Adam absolutely loved every second of his week away. He hurtled down the rapids in the indoor swimming pool, he met lots of new animals which he loves and he made a new best friend called Harry.
Adam got to ride on a donkey, something he’d never done before. After overcoming his initial fears, Adam was beaming from ear-to-ear as he enjoyed the swaying movements of the donkey and rubbed its fur.
With your help today, Sense can continue to be there for deafblind children like Adam and send them on a holiday which gives them memories that will last for a lifetime.
