Sense’s double charity of the year success!

Staff at the Kingswood Sainsbury’s store in Bristol AND Sainsbury’s Local, on Upper Street, Islington have decided to adopt Sense as their local charity of the year.

The Islington store will be holding raffles, weekly bonus ball competitions and holding store collections. Kamrul Ahmed the store manager said "We wanted to support a local charity and found out about Sense. We think what Sense does is amazing and are happy to be supporting deafblind people to fulfill their potential”.

Angela Newman of the Kingswood Sainsbury’s said “the store’s customers were asked to vote for their favourite local charity, there was such a response to Woodside [Sense’s family centre in Bristol] it obviously has touched a lot of people's hearts within the Kingswood community… I am very confident that all store staff will do their best to maximise fundraising for this wonderful service for children and their families”.

Both stores will be fundraising for Sense over the next 12 months with collecting tins at the tills for customers and other exciting staff fundraising initiatives.
