Nicky Slater cutting the ribbon in front of new shop and staffLong-time Sense supporter and Ipswich resident Nicky Slater, opened Sense’s new charity shop in 12 Meredith Road in Whitton, Ipswich on Thursday 25 March.

Nicky took time out time from his busy schedule to support his favourite charity ahead of Dancing On Ice's nail-biting final on Sunday 28 March - cutting the ribbon with his skate blade!

The new shop in Whitton, Ipswich is Sense’s second charity shop in the Ipswich area and our 77th shop in England

According to Christine Dennison, Regional Manager, “Sense’s charity shops have been rated as amongst the UK’s very best by Sunday Times Style. We’re often lucky enough to end up with some great pieces. It could be a vintage number or you could pick up this season’s must have item and help the work we do to support deafblind people in the process!”

If you’re strapped for cash you can go online at our eBay stores and buy antiques and clothes or buy them and many other exciting items at your local Sense shop.

Sense is also appealing for donations of books, music, clothes, electrical items, household ornaments and shoes. The charity is also looking to recruit volunteers who might have some spare time and would like to help out at this new shop.
