Exhibition of deafblind people by celebrity photographer

An exhibition of thought-provoking portraits of deafblind people who receive support from Sense will be held at The Circle gallery, Sheffield. It will open to the general public from Monday 29 March to Friday 30 April.

The opening times are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm and you can find the directions to the gallery on The Circle website.

Andrew Markwell taking a photo

Portrait photographer Andrew Markwell took the photos of deafblind people for the exhibition. Andrew has worked on many portrait projects and photographed some of the UK’s award-winning musicians and artists including Alesha Dixon (Strictly Come Dancing), Howard Donald (Take That), Paul Weller (former The Jam frontman), Amy Winehouse (Ivor Novello Award Winner) and Estelle (Grammy Award Winner), to name but a few.

The purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness of this unique disability, particularly in the north region of England where Sense has a strong presence.

The event has been kindly supported by the following organisations; Irwin Mitchell, Typhoo, Avorio, Any Translation, The Portrait Lounge, Models Republic and The Circle.
