Sense was delighted when Emmerdale star Kitty McGeever, who plays Lizzie Lakely in the soap, agreed to take part in the Sense Vision 5K 2009 race in Roundhay Park in Leeds.
The Sense Vision 5K race set out to challenge the senses and raise money for deafblind children and adults for Sense.
Kitty, who is registered blind said: “This was a fun family race that gave people an insight into some of the challenges faced by deafblind people and I really enjoyed supporting Sense in this race.”
Kitty’s involvement with Sense Vision 5K really helped to raise the profile of the race as she was interviewed on BBC Look North and BBC Radio Leeds. Read the transcript of Kitty McGeever's interview.
