Sense was delighted when Alex James, Blur guitarist-turned-cheesemaker and farmer accepted our invitation to host the Corporate Cheese and Wine event with TV wine expert Olly Smith.
Alex talked about the different cheeses being offered in the tasting session and auction led by Sotheby’s, and even brought along his superb range of cheeses for people to taste and bid on in the auction.
As well as taking up farming and cheesemaking on his farm in Oxfordshire, Alex has also turned his hand to broadcasting, writing and investigative reporting. He writes a weekly column in The Independent, The Observer Food Magazine, and Q magazine, and is a well known broadcaster presenting BBC Radio 4, Classic FM and BBC 6 Music.
