  • Fill in the Gaps - supporting older people Too many older people who are deafblind miss out on the support they need. Find out more here about how social services can support older people with a dual sensory loss.
  • Local Authorities' role in Deaf Mental Health strategy The long awaited Government guidance on Deaf mental heath services, Mental Health and Deafness: Towards Equity and Access, was published on 22 February 2005. This makes 27 recommendations, mainly focused on meeting the needs of Deaf people who use sign language. There are three recommendations specifically for deafblind people, including one which makes reference to local authorities.
