The database
The database includes both individual and group providers with a range of different skills and qualifications for working with deafblind people. Some providers on the database do not have any formal qualifications. We hope that the number of people on the database will grow over time. Providers on the database create and update their own profiles.
Sense’s role in managing the database
There are limits to Sense’s role in managing the database. Sense has not vetted providers on the database or checked the information in providers’ profiles. Sense does not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever for the quality, suitability or timeliness of any provider's work.
Inclusion of information on the database does not mean that Sense recommends or endorses any of the providers on the database. The fact that a provider is or is not on the database does not mean that Sense has an opinion on the service they offer.
Users’ responsibilities when using the database
Using the database carries risks and responsibilities for users. Users should check that information is correct and manage risk. View information on purchasing your own support and on managing risk.
Users should contact providers directly. It is entirely users’ responsibility to ensure that the provider, their terms and conditions for providing services are appropriate and meet their requirements.
