Thank you to all our volunteers

Sense is celebrating National Volunteers week!
Volunteers’ Week, which takes place from 1 to 7 June 2013, is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
It's through the continued support of our 2000 volunteers that we are able to provide vital and extra support to the people who use our services. They volunteer on our holidays and short breaks, in our shops and services, and they fundraise and campaign for us.

A letter to all our volunteers from Gill Morbey, Chief Executive of Sense
Dear Volunteer
Time to say thank you.
To each of the 2,000 volunteers who support Sense, thank you. Every year we depend on you to continue our important work.
On behalf of Sense, I would like to offer my appreciation and gratitude to all those individuals who volunteer their time and expertise to support deafblind people and their families. It is through your continued commitment that we are able to provide that vital and extra support that makes a real difference to our beneficiaries.
I am always inspired and moved to hear stories of the work being done by volunteers throughout Sense – in our shops, in our services, as trustees, as fundraisers, in our offices, our cafes, supporting local groups, on our holidays and weekend breaks. Sense was founded by volunteers, and nearly sixty years on, volunteers remain as important as ever. We simply could not function as we do, without your continued support and dedication.
I know you will continue to help us going forward. Thank you as always, for all the brilliant work you do and the continued commitment you have for Sense. Your contributions have truly made a difference and are hugely appreciated.
Kind regards
Gillian Morbey OBE
Chief Executive
