Sense door-to-door fundraising

28 June 2013

A door-to-door fundraising campaign for Sense is underway, which will continue until December 2013. It is currently taking place in the London,  Romford and Nottingham areas.

What is door-to-door fundraising?

Door-to-door fundraising is where a fundraiser calls at a person’s home in order to encourage new supporters to sign up regular payments to Sense.

Why does Sense use door-to-door fundraising?

As well as being an effective and efficient form of fundraising, door-to-door fundraising allows us to have a two-way conversation with prospective supporters about Sense's work, providing an opportunity to answer questions or focus on particular areas of interest – something which is not possible with other forms of fundraising such as Direct Mail or online fundraising.

The field work is done in teams and thus the reach of households is concentrated and focused and allows the recruitment of greater numbers of supporters that other marketing channels may not offer.

Our fundraisers will always be wearing a Sense-branded uniform and will carry and clearly display identification around their neck at all times.

If you have any feedback on the current campaign please contact our Supporter Care team on 0845 127 0067 or send an email to supporterservices@sense.org.uk.
