Raise money and care for the environment by recycling for Sense!

Sense has teamed-up with The Recycling Factory to raise money through donations of old mobile phones and electronic gadgets (sat navs, digital cameras, MP3 players and electronic games consoles) as well as used toners and cartridges.

By taking part in the recycling scheme, you can help Sense to raise money that is vital to our work in improving the lives of thousands of deafblind children and adults in the UK.

Here is how your recycling donations can support deafblind people:

• £5 could pay for a pottery session for a deafblind person
• £10 could pay for a tambourine to help a deafblind child to express themselves and
  stimulate their hearing
• £20 could pay for a specialist horse-riding session for a deafblind person

You can recycle for Sense as an individual or on behalf of a company. Signing up to the scheme is easy and does not cost you anything.

Recycling your ink cartridges

If you would like to help us recycle your empty ink cartridges, call The Recycling Factory on 0800 091 0696. Simply follow these steps to help raise vital funds:

1. Request our freepost envelopes (don’t forget to mention Sense!)
2. Send your items into us FREE
3. We will receive a 100% donation of the value of all items successfully recycled

Recycling your mobile phones and electronic gadgets

Due to new guidance from Royal Mail, freepost envelopes cannot be used to recycle your mobile phones and electronic gadgets. However, you can deposit these items at collection points for free.

Simply insert the battery into the phone/gadget and ensure that the device is switched off. Wrap your mobile phone/gadget in bubble wrap and pop in the collection box. 

A list of collection points will be coming soon. 

Alternatively, you can send your phone/gadget to us via Recoded Delivery – simply package your phone in rigid packaging (including a note to explain you wish to recycle for Sense) and take it to your nearest post office. Your name and address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging.
