HRH The Princess Royal launches Sense services in Bristol
18 February 2013
Sense's Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, helped us celebrate recently developed services in Bristol on 18 February 2013.
She visited residential flats for deafblind people which provide private living spaces to meet the individual needs of deafblind people with complex needs, and then opened a new ICT (Information and Communications Technology) suite for deafblind children at Sense’s Woodside Family Centre.
HRH unveiled a plaque and named the suite the Leaf (Learning, education and fun) room. She also met children and family members to see them using technology such as tablet computers to communicate.
She was presented with a posy of flowers by Teddie Crossman, a child who attends the Woodside Centre, supported by his mum, Claire.
