Drumathon
What is Drumathon?
Drumathon is a noisy, fundraising extravanganza! Help us by raising money for our work with deafblind children and raise the roof at the same time.
It’s simple…create a drum, chose a beat; make a difference!
We hope children everywhere will make a real effort in creating imaginative drumming equipment from everyday household objects in the build up to their Drumathon and join us in the last week of June 2013 when schools and community groups everywhere will stop and think for just ten minutes about the value of sight and sound.
Register your school, nursery or youth group in our annual fundraiser and receive our easy-to-follow activity pack which slots effortlessly into everyday learning activity. We know that your school or group will benefit from this informative and imaginative day; at the same time supporting a great national charity. They’ll have so much fun – they won’t even realise they’re learning.
To register please email Drumathon@sense.org.uk or call our fundraising team on 0845 127 0069.
A huge, great big thank you to all the schools and groups that joined us for Drumathon 2012
It was a great success and photos and donations from the events have started to pour in. If you have photos that you’d like to share with us, then please send them to the Sense community events team: community.team@sense.org.uk.
Thousands of children took part in our event this year, helping raise vital funds and awareness for deafblind children and adults across the UK.
You can view a selection of photos from Drumathon 2012 in our gallery below, which we'll be updating as more come in!
