About Laszlo
Laszlo is seven years old and has a condition called CHARGE. This affects his sight and hearing.
When Laszlo came on a Sense holiday he really wanted to have a go at horse riding. Sense could make that happen - and riding Caramel became his number one favourite activity.
How Sense supports Laszlo
There are so many new sensory experiences for a deafblind child to try on a Sense holiday. Laszlo tried pottery, plate painting and pizza making. When they went to the beach he didn’t like the texture of the sand at first. But as you can see in this video, he soon became very happy to play on the beach!
On a Sense holiday life adapts to the needs of a deafblind child, rather than the other way round. And you only have to look at Laszlo’s smiling face to see the effect.
A week away on a Sense holiday in the summer gives deafblind children opportunities that they might not have at home. Plus it gives their parents and families a break, and the chance to recharge.
At Sense we are experts in providing these holidays, but we cannot offer them without your help.
By giving £15 today you could pay for a deafblind child to take part in a pottery lesson and enjoy the cool squidge of silky smooth clay in their hands.
By giving £35 today you could pay for a specialist horse riding session and give a deafblind child an experience they’ll never forget.
