About Curtis
5-year-old Curtis is deafblind. Curtis was left deafblind by a brain haemorrhage when he was born. Because of this he finds it difficult to learn about the world around him, and to communicate.
How Sense supports Curtis
With the help of specialist teacher Clive, who works for Sense, Curtis has started school. His first day was one of the happiest of his life.
"It's been such a struggle to get the right support at school. But with Clive and Sense's help, we made it happen. Curtis loves school and is learning all the time." Louise, Curtis's mum.
£50 could help pay for a Children & Family Support Officer to visit another family facing challenges.
