Get involved

National bus passes give eligible disabled people free off-peak travel on local bus services anywhere in England, but improvements are needed. Help us to achieve them!

Campaign for

  • Free travel for companions of disabled people
  • Free travel for disabled people at all times of day
  • Free travel for all disabled people
  • Fairness across the country

In October 2008, disabled people and families lobbied parliament and called on the government to improve national bus passes. This began to make an impact. Now, disabled people and their families must keep up the pressure. The Government can ignore one-off actions, but it’s much harder for them to ignore persistent action by lots of people. So join in!

This is why your involvement is so important. You can help to put pressure on the Government to make changes. Even if you can only spare a few minutes, you can still make a difference.

This action pack gives you positive ways to get involved. Use any of the suggestions or get creative and come up with your own!

Contact us if you would like more information about actions you could take. Please also let us know what action you take and what the result is.
