The ‘Way Forward’ seminar – 17 September 2007

As part of our support for the 1 Million 4 Disability campaign Sense organised a seminar jointly with RNIB, Leonard Cheshire and Guide Dogs for the Blind at Porcullis House in Westminster, London. The aim was to encourage discussion on the need for disability legislation in the European Union.

Lord Low, President of RNIB chaired the panel of speakers that included Tony Aston from Guide Dogs on behalf of the European Disability Forum; Fiona Kinsman, Legal Officer, Equality, Action against Discrimination, European Commission; Anne Salaun, Research Programme Officer, ICT for Inclusion, European Commission; Anne McGuire MP (Minister for Disability) and Robert Evans MEP. The seminar was well attended and a good question and answer session followed the speeches.
