The Parent Room also houses the toy llbrary and is used as our dining area. The room has shelves and cupboards around the walls full of toys, which form the toy library.
The library comprises items which are owned by Sense Avon Parents Resource, Look West and Woodside. You must be a registered member of Sense or Look West to use the library. There is a nominal charge of £12 per year to be a member of Sense. Please contact us for a form to register. Membership of the groups also ensures that you receive a copy of the Woodside News which is a comprehensive newsletter issued quarterly.
Information
There are also shelves full of leaflets, brochures and magazines giving a wide variety of information and advice. Some leaflets and magazines may be taken away but if a publication has a Woodside sticker on it, please do not remove it from the Centre. There is a filing cabinet with information on special needs schools, activities etc in the area. Contact us if you want some specific information which you cannot find.
Dining area
The whole room is used as a relaxing area for families to sit around and have a chat over a cup of coffee or bring lunch and eat it here. We have regular meetings which we also hold in this room. We would ask that you kindly tidy up after you and leave the room as you found it.
