Activity programme for children

Children's creche sessions are staffed by support teachers and nursery nurses from the Sensory Support Service.

The activities are designed to meet the very individual needs of the following groups of children:

Monday morning: Bubbles

This is our introductory group for babies and younger children and is a sensory support service session. Mum & Son

Tuesday morning: Explorers

Explorers is our group for children with a vision impairment and is a Look West parent resource.

Friday morning: Achievers

Friday's group is for children who are multi-needs sensory impaired and is a sensory support service session.

Saturday club

This is run by parents on the third Saturday of every month. Contact Lis on 07702 886 042 for more information.

Playscheme

During the school holidays we provide a playscheme for children. Our playscheme is very well attended and the children have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities, including massage, music therapy and art and craft.

If you would like your child to be part of the experience make sure you read the Woodside Newsletter and contact us early. The playscheme is supported by volunteers if you are interested in volunteering please contact us for details.

Courses

We are in the process of organising a number of courses and details will be available here shortly. Topics to be covered include "Make It and Shake It" - a resource making workshop, covering issues around sexuality and communication.
