The Anne Wall Centre has a fully accessible and height adjustable kitchen used daily by the adults who attend the centre.
Deafblind people take an active role in food preparation activities and are involved in baking sessions and sensory cooking sessions, as well as learning about food hygiene and preparing their own lunches using food gathered from our allotment, local market and supermarkets.
Baking sessions offer the opportunity to make and taste different items. Sensory taste, touch and smell sessions mean people can enjoy getting involved in the different sensory experiences in the kitchen where the aim of the session is to get involved in the process and not necessarily make an end product.
