Helping children and families
We provide deafblind children with an intervenor service – one-to-one support enabling someone to interact with the world around them, make choices and maximise their potential and independence.
We also help deafblind children to learn at school for 180 hours each week.
Sense also supports families, not only giving them a voice and enabling them to share information and offer vital support to each other, but also. delivering direct support to 346 individuals and their families with deafblind children. We run a membership scheme, have branches across the country, Family Network events and support a range of other groups.
Sense education specialists carry out specialist, in-depth assessments followed by on-going support for deafblind children and their families.
