Cathy Brown, daughter of Norman Brown and supporter of deafblind people and their families
For me, Jessica Hills was a gently powerful and permanent presence, someone you could depend upon, something like Sense royalty. My deafblind brother Stephen and I were quite young when first we met so I have the impression that she was always there. Her spirit was so strong it rather made one forget her somewhat fragile physical frame. We shall have to adjust to her absence in the physical sense but her presence will, I believe, be a lasting and permanent one. My thoughts are with Peter, their family and friends. Hopefully some comfort can be found from knowing how much good she brought to the world. Her work will be continued by others but she will be sorely missed.
